Due to the Coronavirus situation, this blog has not been updated regularly due to other commitments and workshops being cancelled.
This year, we have plans in the pipeline to offer much more than just posts on the Kofi blog!
Plans and ideas are already in progress! Stay tuned!

The Step by Step Art - Karen M Berisford Ko-fi page is a blog platform, where we add posts every weekday (usually Mon/Tues - Fri) mainly covering the step by step art website but with a few artwork images too created by Karen, the step by step art's creator, who writes all the articles and tutorials found on this website. The blog will include a whole range of information pertaining to art products, hints and tips in art, future plans for the SBSA website and offerings whether large or small, workshop info, offers and deals on recommended products or publications, updates on future video and digital tutorials, you tube video links (where applicable) and basically anything that we think may be of interest to you.
You can simply bookmark our Ko-fi page or click on the 'KOFI-BLOG' above that takes you to the page itself, so you can visit as often as you wish and the latest post can be seen at the top of the page - no scrolling through other people's posts to find the latest update or having to scroll past a collection of old photos and videos before you get to the new post like you do on Facebook, all time consuming and quite frankly, frustrating!
The Ko-fi site also allows us to offer lots more content in the future (a little like Patreon) and people can become a supporter to access additional content. Although this is not available at the moment, it is something we plan on introducing in 2021. Further information will be added here once available.

Karen, who runs the SBSA website, receives no revenue from this site, preferring to keep it ad free. Every article and tutorial is created in her spare time so she can offer as many useful articles as possible to as many artists out there. Although she has collected many art products over the years, many of which are included in the pages of this website, she wants to continue growing this site and is looking to purchasing even more so she can offer more articles. The ko-fi blog has a 'coffee button' found at the top of the page which allows anyone wishing to support this site, maybe to say thank you for a particularly helpful article or to simply add to the 'SBSA purse', to donate so Karen can trial more products for inclusion in future articles or tutorials and as a bonus, the product may also be offered in a competition at a later date too if they are surplus to requirements! Every donation will go back into this site, and at the top of the Ko-fi blog page is an explanation showing where any tips will be spent - a particular art product, a special light for use during video tutorial recordings or just a certain amount that will be used for a collection of items. Every item will be published to the blog so you can see the latest product that has been purchased and read about how it will help the SBSA website to grow.
